Only 9% of Users Open BeReal Every Day, According to Estimates

BeReal, a relatively new social media app, encourages its users to take a photo each day as a strategy to establish a daily routine. However, according to recent estimates from an external app intelligence company, just a small fraction of the app’s users are now doing so.

According to TechCrunch“A research from Sensor Tower, BeReal is demonstrating significant traction across some metrics — it topped 53 million worldwide installs across the App Store and Google Play and has seen its monthly active users jump by 2,254% since January 2022, for example. But only 9% of its active Android installs are opening the app every day as of the third quarter of this year, it found.

Since many people would download an app out of curiosity to try it out but then uninstall it if they don’t like it, active users are considered to be a better indicator of an app’s growth than downloads.

Data show that BeReal is edging closer to being a staple in some users’ everyday lives, but it hasn’t yet proven to be as effective at generating continuous usage as its rivals. In addition, it has to deal with imitation of popular social media platforms such as Snapchat, IG and TikTok.
